Construction:
Frame:
A combination of hardwood, softwood, and engineered wood products are kiln or air dried to ensure the integrity of the frame. All critical joints are double dowelled, stapled, or screwed and glued for maximum strength.
Suspension & Support:
Sinuous steel spring construction ensures great comfort. An 8.5-gauge spring is used in the seat construction and an 11-gauge spring is found in the back cushions to provide ultimate stability.
Cushion Fill:
Foam
The 1934 foam is CertiPUR-US certified and is designed specifically for the furniture industry. It weighs 1.9 pounds per cubic square inch and is wrapped in a poly-dacron & ultra cell known for its high resiliency. With its exceptional physical properties, 1934 is the obvious choice for a standard in our cushion applications in all our furniture.
Down
Down mixed with polyester fibre offers the ultimate in softness and comfort, featuring 2 to 4 centimetre white duck feathers. The feathers are washed and cleaned for minimal residual dust and allergens. The feathers fill a cotton casing that wraps around a 1.9 lb foam core, offering a plush, relaxed look.
Upholstery:
The fabric is spill and stain repellent which provides unmatched repellency to oil and water-based stains caused by coffee, soda, wine, mustard, salad dressing and more. Liquids bead up on the fabric’s surface, facilitating an easy clean up. The fabric is also antimicrobial (reducing bacteria by more than 99.9%) which reduces odor and the risk of stains caused by microorganisms, helping to maintain the integrity of the material.
